Life Imitates My Writing

I got into Taekwondo when I was in Elementary School in Greensboro, NC! I earned all the way to my RED belt while studying under Mr. Warren Davis and his wife Elizabeth at Taekwondo Plus as a child.

The reason I got placed in Taekwondo was because I was defending my younger brother while we were being watched as my mom was doing Jazzercise and some punk was messing with my younger brother.

Then when I went to stand up for my younger brother the punk swept my leg and I fell and hit the back of my head on the basketball court floor as my mom was doing her Jazzercise exercises.

After my dad found out about this he placed me in Taekwondo as a kid so I could learn to defend myself. I did Taewondo the entire time I was in Greensboro, NC growing up and as I said I made in to RED Belt during my time in Greensboro at Taekwondo Plus.

I stayed in Taekwondo for the majority of my childhood while I lived in Greensboro, North Carolina until my mom moved my younger brother and I with her to Dalton, GA after my parents divorce in 1996. Once in Dalton, Georgia in 1996 I didn’t practice Taekwondo again until a brief stint which I will get to in a moment at Master Seo’s Taekwondo Studio in 2021.

My favorite action fictional character growing up was Martin Riggs from the Lethal Weapon Franchise.

My Favorite Childhood Game was title “Gunman.” I created the Neighborhood Cops and Robbers Type Game “Gunman” and the game Gunman was where my Martin Riggs influenced character Billy Coatman was born. I played Gunman which was a cops and robbers type game as the character Billy Coatman and also wrote Gunman stories involving the character Billy Coatman as a kid. Billy Coatman of course later was a published character inside the Simply Priceless Universe beginning when I became a published Author and you cane read all all about the Simply Priceless Universe on the Simply Priceless Universe Webpage.

My Simply Priceless Universe Billy Coatman character is a lot like the Lethal Weapon Martin Riggs Character and is modeled a lot after the Martin Riggs character and always have been from the point I began to play the game Gunman as a child to the point I published Simply Priceless which was the first time the Billy Coatman character was ever published and brought to the eyes of the General Public.

I mention the above because Martin Riggs and Billy Coatman are both BIG TIME FIGHTERS using Martial Arts Skills. A lot of my HARD R Fighting Content inside my novels involve Martial Arts Skills and Fighting Skill I witnessed from movies I watched in theaters and at home with my father as a kid. My father had a rule if I was to watch a movie with him then I would watch the movies he wanted to see so I grew up for the MOST PART watching Action Movies that were R RATED starring a variety of the actors pictured below.

As I mentioned earlier I started back Taekwondo in 2021. When I started back with Taekwondo I had to begin back at white belt since I was an adult starting back in Taekwondo in a different Martial Arts Academy.

I shortly found myself back to doing Taekwondo two or more times a week, and I advanced to Yellow Belt before I began to have PT multiple times week with my bad foot and I couldn’t keep up with Physical Therapy and Taekwondo. Sooner rather than later I had to step down from Taekwondo but I plan to hopefully eventually to get back into Taekwondo again one day.
